Brenna's New Crib

We finally got a crib for Brenna! She has been in the bassinet in our room since she came home but she has started to scoot over enough to touch the sides and it wakes her up so after months of searching for a deal we found this crib for super cheap at Kmart.
Brenna hasn't been the best sleeper so far - her latest trick is being WIDE awake from around 10:30pm to about 1:30 or 3:00 am - NOT fun. She's a pretty clingy little girl and wants to be held all the time - she's just now letting us have her lay on the floor on a blanket for longer than 5 minutes! So we were really hoping she would like her crib. Well, I put her in it while I was tying the bumper on the other day and she loved it!! AND she slept in it for the first time on Christmas Eve and has slept in it every night since then with NO problems - in fact she slept in until noon today!!!! Hopefully this continues:)

Brenna is three months old today!!!

I can't believe it's been three months since Brenna was born! She is becoming quite social - she loves to snuggle (especially into your neck) and gives us the cutest smiles! She has also discovered my hair and grabs it ALL the time! She's also growing really well and she's getting cute little rolls:) Last Tuesday she weighed 9lbs. 11 oz. - she's finally bigger than I was when I was born! She's also finally growing out of the "newborn size" clothes and diapers too. I can't believe how big she's getting! We're so blessed to have this sweet little Brenna Bug in our lives!

Christmas Tree

I've been getting behind on blogging - yeah I know I always do - Anyway, here are some pictures of the Christmas tree we cut down this year. It was about 11 feet tall and we had to cut it down to about nine:( so it would fit in our house (there's only about 1/2 inch from the star to the ceiling!) I think it's funny how we had to get the ladder out for the star! It's such a beautiful tree and Brenna loves looking at the lights.

Snowboard For Sale

Hello everyone. I have this posted on KSL Classifieds but I figured I would throw it on here also. We are selling this snowboard. It is a Ride Solace 146 CM with bindings. This is a womens board. Wood core tip to tail and Ride's "L series classic bindings". The board does have a few scratches on the tip where if slipped off a rack and landed on the pavement. Nothing too bad though and a good wax job would probably make them almost disappear. All edges are in great condition, and there is little sign of use. If any one is interested or knows anyone that is interested, let me know. I'm asking $300.00 but would probably go some lower for people that we know.

Brenna's Baby Blessing

We blessed Brenna in church on December 7th along with my sister Theresa's little girl Kiera. It was such a special day - we're so thankful for her and how well she's doing. Thanks for coming everyone!!

My parents and brother drove all night to be here for the big day - they were a little tired!!

We had some family and friends over after church - I guess we now know how many people we can fit into our house!!

Got Milk??

Yesterday my almost two year old nephew Ethan came over with my sister Serena. He was playing with some blocks while I was feeding Brenna when he came over to see her and say hi to her. I told him Brenna was eating and didn't think anything of it. A few seconds later, Ethan ran out to the kitchen saying "Milk. I get it". Serena and I thought he wanted a drink of milk so she started to get some for him when we both realized what he was really doing. He had gone into the freezer, grabbed a "four pack" of frozen breast milk and ran over to me saying, "here ya go"!! SO FUNNY!! So, I pretended to feed her some of it and told him to put the rest back in the freezer, so he did and went back to his blocks - his job was done!!!

By the way, this is what our freezer looks like - any suggestions on what I can do with all this milk?????

Deer Hunt 2008

Well, some of you know already, others don't, but my 2008 deer hunt was a success. On November 7th, yes a legal date due to an extended hunt, I dropped this 3X4. I'm not really sure how to score him, or even how measurements are taken, but is about 22 inches wide and from the base of is skull to the tip of the longest tine is 19 inches. It was a fun hunt having my dad and brother-in-law there with me. We hiked and glassed all morning in fog and cold, then hopped back in the truck to head to another area and I saw this guy quartering away from me. I stopped the truck, left it running, and was amazed as I slid out the door the he didn't bolt. When I first saw him I couldn't tell how big he was. My brother-in-law put his spotting scope on him and said he was just a wide spike, then he amended his sighting to be a three point. When I dropped the rifle scope on him I noticed the 4 point and the nice eye guards. Buck fever then set in and I pulled the trigger.

We love Dr. Fillerup!!!

Here's Brenna with our favorite Dr. Fillerup! I went in for my six week check up today - a day after I should have had her!! Seriously - if anyone needs an excellent Dr. she's the one - we can't even begin to explain how much we appreciate her - she's such a genuine caring person - we owe her so much - literally!!
